Is it time to have your roof cleaned? Do you know which company to call? What questions to ask?
Doing your homework, by researching your local companies, is time-consuming. However, knowing that you are covered when it comes to liability is invaluable. Being armed with the correct questions to ask is your first step.
In the next series of blog posts, we’ll review with you the six most important questions you should ask before hiring anyone to clean your roof.
Question #1 – “Does the company have a license and are they insured?”
This question is the first and most important one to ask. At Coastline Window Cleaning, we recommend that you check their license on the Lee County Tax Collector website, or the Collier County GMD Public Portal website to confirm the company has a valid license.
Then call the company and make sure they are insured. Ask them to send you a certificate of their insurance. You’ll want the proof in your hand before hiring them as your roof cleaner. Proof of insurance is necessary when they work on your home, as it protects your property.
Next, you will also want to verify that they have workers’ compensation insurance, especially when they work up on your roof. This to protect you, the homeowner, from any liability.
Validating that a company is licensed and insured should be the first thing on your list when hiring anyone to work on your home. At Coastline Window Cleaning, our professionals are licensed and insured. We are ready to take care of your roof cleaning needs.
